Re: The Alley Family of Iredell Co. NC

I have a Dicey (unknown) who married a Josiah Ren in NC at a place unknown.They had a dau named Molley who married Elijah Debusk in Greene Co. TN.Molley named one of her sons--SHADRACH ALLEY DEBUSK.I have always suspected that somehow all of these people would go back to the RW soldier Shadrach Alley.Also, Dicey and Josiah Ren named THEIR son Shadrach.So, the name Shadrach is running rampant in this Ren family.

MY THEORY
What I am proposing is the Shadrach Alley who lived in Rutherford Co. NC in 1790 is the father of my Dicey.

There is a Ren family that is also living in Rutherford Co. at the same time in 1790.I have learned that both of these families have connections back to Northampton Co. NC.What IF Shadrach had a dau named DICEY who married Josiah Ren in Rutherford Co. NC ca 1799/1800?

Josiah Ren is listed as a Joseph on the 1810 Buncombe Co. NC census.The next time I find them they are living in Greene Co. TN in the early 1820's.Does anyone know if this is a valid theory?
