I found some information in my grandmother's stuff saying that Peter Alley's father was Harvey who came to America with the British army to fight against the Americans and decided to stay in America.Never returned to England but remained in America and finally located in Russel County, Virginia.Harvey had two sons, Peter and James and two daughters Rachel and one, name unknown.Peter married Martha, etc.I have some more info if you care to e-mail me.
