Someone in the Alley family kept good records, my husband's grandmother was Martha Jane Alley whose great grandfather was Jonathon Alley also a son of James L Alley, Sr. son of Thomas A and Francis Reavis. Next generation: Thomas Alley/Mary Jennings: next Thomas Alley (b. 1628-VA)/Martha Rutter; Francis Alley (b. 1588, England; d.USA-VA)/Wealthean Snelling (b1590, Devon, England;m. 4 June 1611, Devon, England); Jerome Alley (b. 1560, England, d. 1635)/m ? Joane Vilvane, 12 Febr 1595); Roger Alley (b. 1535, Devonshire, England;d, 1610; William Alley (b.1510 Great Wycomb, England; d. 1570, England)m. Sybil Bodeigh b.?, d.1570;William Alley (b.1487, England); John Alley (Buckinghamshire, England). Hope you can make this out.There are 11 generations beginning with Jonathon (1764 or 68) and ending with John Alley in Buckinghamshire. Now, The Alleys hooked up with the McIntosh's in TN or Indiana. Ever heard of Aaron McIntosh born @1825 in TN,father was William McIntosh born @1790 in NC. Lived in Maury Co TN before moving to Sullivan Co, IN and on to MO. Any help appreciated.
