Re: Danvers ALLIN of Danby & Dauntsey 1600+

I have been intrigued by my Father's Christian names. He is Danvers Allin Swales (born 5/9/1928) and his branch of our family originated in Danby, North Yorkshire. He has no knowledge of the origin of his name and believes that it was simply a family tradition. He also had an uncle Danvers Allin Swales who, as far as I am aware, remained in the Danby area. Any information on the original Danvers Allins would be very gratefully received.
