I come from the East End Allingtons but my brother, Reg recently moved to Great Bentley near Colchester and finds himself among the Essex Allingtons. While visiting him recently he showed me an article in the Great Bentley village magazine about a large family of Allingtons who lived there. I think you might find it interesting.
