Hi Marcia
yes, there are lots of William Amblers
I have William Ambler SR and Sarah as the parents of William Ambler JR who married Angeline Miller in 1859 Madison County OH.
I was helping someone work on Jenny Ambler, who lived with the Burris family in Madison County.we are trying to find her parents also.
I began looking at all the Amblers and related families looking for clues
I followed Nelson Miller and his marriage to Jane Ambler who I believe is the sister of William JR Ambler.
this is what I have as William and Sarah Ambler's children
from the 1850 Pike county census
Thomas age 19
Jane age 16
William A.age 14
Elizabeth age 12
Sarah age 9
Samuel age 6
Mary age 4
these are who I have as their spouses
Thomas married Catherine Brill 15 Mar 1835 Pike county OH
Jane married Nelson Miller Oct 2,1859 Fayette county OH
WilliamA. married Angeline Miller Feb 20,1859 Madison county OH
Sarah married ukn MillerSarah Ambler age 61 living with her daughter Sarah Miller in Madison county OH
Samuel died 1863 Civil Warburied Counts Cemetery Madison County OHunmarried
Mary Anne married John Rowe Dec 16,1847 Madison county OH
most of these families living Madison county OH on the Fosset farm.there is a James Miller family living there also.
in the 1870 census Madison county OH Ann Ambler is the housekeeper to the Jonah and Elizabeth Seaman family, in 1880 Ann and her children are at the Infirmary. Jonah Seaman died in 1879 and the farm sold. this is probably why she had to move, Elizabeth Seaman lived with her son John.
The Seaman family is my line andthere may be some connection to the Miller family but I am still working on that.
Will keep in touch and let you know what I find, and thanks for replying.
