Mike,
You have already helped me.I have a photograph of my grandfather and have trying to find out what his name was.The photo is of Clifford Elmer Amundsen. Thanks! I don't know if I can be of much help to you, but here goes. You must be theson of my cousin Clifford.I knew Clifford and his sister Alice briefly when my parents moved to Pocatello for less than a year back around 1946-47.I am the son of your grandfather's brother Earl.Your grandfather had two brothers and two sisters. The oldest was Ruth, then Elmer, Roland, Earl, and the youngest Doris.According to my mother, Elmer worked at the Norwalk Hour Newspaper before moving to Idaho. My father who was born in 1917 passed away in 1997.He loved his dad alot and remembered the day he died of an apparent heart attack (complained of being tired and went upstairs to lie down and never woke up).My dad was still in high school at the time, I suppose around age 15 to 16.That would place Clifford's death around 1933.My dad would say that his father had many skills, could do just about anything including play musical instruments.I have no idea what kind of work/profession he was involved in.I remember my grandmother Agnes and saw her last in 1954 when she came to help my mother (Mildred) when she gave birth to my youngest sister.I remember that your grandfather owned some rental cabins (Trail's End Cabins, I believe) in West Yellowstone back in the 50's.We stayed there when we came to California in June of 1954.Myunderstanding is that he stayed in West Yellowstone during the summer and in Pocatello during winter.I hope to hear from you soon.
Bob
