Re: ancestors of Joseph Amy born 1796 PA
Yes, I understandthe need for men to submit their DNA.
Unfortuntely, I don't know any Jones or Amy males.
Wish that I could be of assistance.Alas! In a nutshell, here's my Amy connections.Nelson Fitzpatrick Wilburn b 1847 m 1. Margaret Amy inThey had two children.Louis Wilburn b 1886 in either Crawford Co IN or Harrison IN.Margaret Amy died young, and also their young daughter also named Margaret died at age two.Louis later settled into a tiny community in Minneloa KS in Ford Co.He married his wife cousin, Edna Amy.They had three children. Two daughters and a son.Louis was killed in a farming accident while out in KS in 1914.(At one time, I had the newspaper clipping of his death). After he died, Edna and her children relocated back in Harrison Co IN, where all three children (appear to have lived out their lives)....Louis Wilburn was also a veteran of the Spanish American war. His father, my great-grandfather remarried. His second wife and my great-grandmother was Nancy Catherine Elliott b 1856 in Crawford Co IN.They had three children, one being my grandfather, John Thomas Wilburn (1875-1947)....And while I have no Amy ancestors, I amdistantly related to the children of Louis Wilburn and his wife Edna Amy Wilburn. Again, I am finding your postings so interesting and wish to commend you on your talented writing skills.
