Hugh Anderson in the USA

I am looking for the family of Hugh Anderson, born about Feb 5 1864, to Hugh Anderson and Mary Murdoch of Muirkirk, Scotland.Hugh was a joiner by trade and came to New York in 1896 with his cousin, Alex Murdoch.Alex went on to Canada but I have no idea what happen to Hugh.Any information would be gratefully received.
