LEE (“PAPITO”) ANDERSON , 89, beloved husband, father and grandfather , passed away peacefully on August 18, 2001 at the home of his daughter, Margaret Rapp, in Katy. Lee , or “Papito” as he was affectionately known, was a dedicated and loving family man . He was born on December 18, 1911 in British Honduras ( now known as Belize ). He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Belen Anderson , of Houston , his children Sonia Key of Albuquerque, NM , Adelaide Otazo of Ridgefield, Connecticut, Dr. Lee Anderson Jr. of Arlington , TX, Joe Anderson of El Tigre, Venezuela, Margaret Rapp of Katy, Dr. Mabel,Perez of Richmond and Thomas Anderson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and 17 grandchildren. He loyally and energetically served the Royal Bank of Canada in many capacities for a period of 43 years in Puerto Rico and in the countries of Venezuela and Belize. It was during his service to the bank in Puerto Rico, when he met his wife Belen and they were married there on June 2, 1947. Their marriage was blessed with a total of 7 children and 17 grandchildren. After Lee retired in 1971, he moved his family to Houston. A wake service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 21, 2001 at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, at 1530 Norwalk Drive, in Katy . The funeral mass will be held at the same church at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 22, 2001, with Msgr. Jack Dinkins presiding, followed by a graveside service at 4:00 p.m. at Forest Park Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer in Houston .
