Seeking genealogical information about Ole Godfred ANDERSON’s parents, brothers and sisters. It is known that he arrived in Aberdeen, South Dakota as a boy, with (at least) his father sometime prior to 11 Jun 1889. Prior to that same date, Ole’s father (name unknown) passed away and Ole moved to the community of Mina located in adjacent Edmunds County. He lived out the balance of his life as a proprietor of a general merchandise store (1909 - ) and later on as the proprietor of a bar (1942-1947) located in his residence. On or about the time Ole relocated from Aberdeen to Mina, he married Catrina Caren “Carrie” HOVE (b. 1873, Stallander, Norway; d. 1925, Mina, Edmunds County, South Dakota.). Together, Ole and Carrie ANDERSON had five children, Selma Evelyn (b. 1899), Mildred L. (b. 1900), Leonard (b. between 1900 – 1906), Olive Marie (b. 1906) and Donald Chester (b. 1912). Ole and Carrie ANDERSON were laid to rest in Richland Cemetery, Mina, Edmunds County, South Dakota.
Your assistance in identifying Ole Godfred ANDERSON’s parents, brothers and sisters (if any) will be most appreciated by me and his descendants, one of whom is my wife. Thank you very much.
