Robert W. Anderson was a son of William H. Anderson and Mary Virginia Sharpe of Screven County Georgia.R. W. Anderson married three time.First wife was Mariona C. Zeigler and second wife was Mary J. Zeigler. They were sisters and they're buried together in the Douglas Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Screven County Georgia.R. W. Anderson's third wife was Ora Lee Hamilton of Montgomery County Georgia.

R. W. Anderson Succumbs to Long Illness
In the death of Robert William Anderson last Wednesday, Tarrytown loses one of its most beloved citizens.Native of Screven county, he was 78 years of age, and had resided in Tarrytown for 45 years.For a long period he was a rural mail carrier from that town.He retired from this position many years ago, and for the past eight years had been in ill health.
Mr. Anderson, a man of quiet and pleasing manners, was a member of the Methodist church, and from every angle a good citizen, beloved by all with whom he came in contact.
Funeral services were held from the Ruth’s Chapel Methodist church Thursday.The service was conducted by Rev. Bernard Brown of the Vidalia Methodist church and Rev. C. L Shelby of Brewton-Parker Junior College, Mount Vernon-Ailey.His grandsons served as active pallbearers, and rural mail carriers from Montgomery and Toombs.Those participating were R. N. Wood, L. M. Williams, Homer Davis, counties acted as an honorary escort, Charles Ricks, Charles A. Abt, Charles Frizzelle, E. R. Temples, Paul Jones, Bruce Wilkes, Rufus Hall and Ralph Langford. The funeral plans were directed by W. W. Sammons of Soperton.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ora L. Hamilton; four daughters, Mrs. S. L. Morgan of Savannah, Mrs. Vance Calhoun of Tarrytown, Mrs. R. L. Palmer of Mount Vernon and Mrs. C. P. Adams of Aiken, S. C. ; one son, W. H. Anderson of Tarrytown, and one sister, Mrs.Rena E. Jackson of Atlanta, together with 14 grand-children and 22 great-grand-children.
