I'm doing research on my adopted families heritage. This is being done for my daughter.I have traced much of my biological side and adopted mother's side, but am having trouble with my adopted father's side. Here is what I know:
My adopted father's name is John C. Anderson His brothers and sisters were/are:Robert B. Anderson, Ronald W. Anderson, Carole J. Anderson
His father was William R. Anderson His mother was Martha J Liddell (born Beatruce Liddell) with the last name possible being spelled Ladell
Sisters and Brothers of William R. Anderson were/are: Dorothy Anderson (married Elias Rode), Carolyn Anderson (married Mr. Landrud)
William R. Anderson's Parents: Father was Arthur C. Anderson Mother was Esther Caroline Pearson
I have looked over my adopted grandfather's autobiography that he never finished for information. He did not know too much so just mentioned his parents and that was it.I do know that his grandfather's name was Anders and that at the immigration office they wrote down Anderson as the last name since most people knew him as Anders and Mr. Anders had a great number of sons.At this time, one who was there recognized Mr. Anders and one of his sons and stated 'there is a Anders-son.With the slurred speach and little gap between the words, the clerk knowticed the man speaking was pointing at Mr. Anders.Mr. Anders did not speak English or even his own language too well being uneducated so the clerk was having a difficult time with the paperwork. This is the story I have heard...it may not be too accurate, but I do not know.If anyone has information they can share, please do so.I will be posting my entire family tree as soon as I get more information on it on this side (which may assist others looking for other sections of the family line as well).
