I am looking for information about the murder of Abraham Becraft, allegedly at the hands of James Anderson in 1811. Here is a quote from Harry Enoch's "In Search of Morgan's Station":
"Abraham Becraft, the father, settled in the Bath County area and was killed in 1811. A grand jury returned an indictment for murder against one James Anderson, but he was never arrested or brought to trial".
Note: Bath County was formed from Montgomery County that same year (1811), so the information could be in either county's courthouse (or other records).
I would appreciate any information about this case, especially about the identity of this James Anderson.

P.S. I am searching for the parents of Thomas T. Anderson (b: ~1793 in KY or MD) who married Margaret "Peggy" Miller. They lived in Montgomery County (Jeffersonville area). The two most likely fathers include Abihu Anderson (son of Nicholas) and a James Anderson. It is possible that this James Anderson was the same man indicted for Abraham Becraft.
