The family members (descendants) of John Anderson and Rebecca Cobb will meet again in July (4th Sunday) as we have been doing since 1940 - without missing a year! We will be at Tranquil Methodist Church with lunch at 1 o'clock. Bring a picnic type lunch. We furnish tea, plates, napkins, and utensils - and great fellowship. An update of the family history will be available but there are still too many gaps for me to begin printing. I need births, marriages, deaths, where buried, all dates. Some are doing their own without giving me a copy and that makes it very difficult to bring us together for a real complete book. My mother and I worked long hours to do the first one and I have been working on this for more than five years! Help is needed quickly because I am not getting any younger - or am I??? Please contact me soon as I have 4 more families to work on, one day at a time! Andrew's family is ahead of all the others and not just because it is mine. Names of the seven boys and two girls are: John (did not marry and did not return from the War Between the States), Andrew, James, William, Nathaniel, Robert, Edmond, Mary, and Margaret. We have not been able to confirm the origins of John and Rebecca other than the fact that they were married. The oldest son was Robert, born in 1828. Please help me help all of the others. Thank you for your contributions!! Margaret Clyburn Duckett Greenwood, SC
Tranquil Methodist Church is on Highway 10 on the Western side of Greenwood, not far beyond Connie Maxwell Children's Home, and about a mile from the light on Bypass 225, near Emerald High School.
