I am looking for information on my wife's great grand father: JOHN HENRY "Singleton" ANDERSON b 18 Nov. 1864 (we believe in VA.) His parents, who came from Sweden, were married here in the United States. They died in a flu or pneumonia epidemic when he was about 10 years old. He was raised by a family named Morrow. They never adopted him. The above information is mostly family legend. He had at least two sisters; Alice, who died young and Em who lived to be very elderly. His brothers Ed and Dan died in their early sixties. John married Ora Myrtle Core b 28 January 1874 in Lima, Ohio. They were married in Waxahachie, Texas 22 July 1892. He was postmaster at the Crisp, Texas Post Office, for a while. The post office opened in 1892. They had 10 children, eight girls and two boys.

The Anderson, Pope and Adams familys migrated from Texas to the Palo Verde Valley in Calif. In 1918. Thanks ahead of time for any help you can give me. I am Paul Pruitt at: email@example.com
