Charlotte Ruth Stocks, 83, of Indio Hills died Jan. 14, 2004, in Indio Hills, CA.

She was born April 24, 1920, to Lee Jonathan and Minnie

Ruth Lyons Anderson in Clairmont, CA.

She was president of her family-owned date company for 65 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Wellington of Tehachapi and Ruth Fountaine of Indio Hills; her son, Roy of Sun Valley, Nev.; two sisters, Catherine Kerbey of Big River, Nev., and Adelaine Allan of Blythe; her brother, Lee Jonathan Anderson Jr. of Thermal; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 8:30 a.m. today at Coachella Valley Cemetery under the direction of FitzHenry Funeral Home Indio
