DESCRIPTION :
This is an old and heavy Family Bible (shipping weight is 6 kilos or over 13 lbs.). The engravings are excellently done and the Anderson genealogy info is priceless if they are connected to your family. PLEASE NOTE that the Anderson genealogy entries, while interesting, seem to have been written at the same time. The info was probably copied from an earlier Bible -- a common occurance when a new couple started their own life together. Thus, it is possible that errors in copying occurred, or errors in memory, if the information was written from someone's recollection of events. There are no entries which indicate they were made at the time of the event -- easy to spot because of differences in ink, handwriting, etc.

The places mentioned include Edinburgh and Aberdeen in Scotland; Bytown (now Ottawa), Clarence and Kemptville in Canada West (now Ontario) and Lachaler in Canada East (now Quebec).

some of names included :
William and Elizabeth Anderson (SCT to ON)
children: Janet, Hannah, Daniel, Wm H, Catherine, Peter, Jane, Harriet (most born in Kemptville ON)
