He was born in VA about 1799-1800 in or near Cumberland County. He acquired property in Cumberland County in 1822, but resided in 1823 and 1824 in Powhatan County which adjoins Cumberland.
According to the 1850 census for Highland County, his son James was born in VA in 1826-27, and son Samuel in OH in 1831-32.He has not been located in the 1830 census.
On 13 Feb 1834, he sold his land in Cumberland. The deed says he was of Pike County, Ohio. There was no release of dower. In the 1840 census, he was in Pike county. The return shows a male age 15 to 20 who was not living at home in 1850, and a male 10 to 15, who is shown as James, 23, in 1850.
There is an unverified reference to a marriage of Tennison B. Anderson to Maria V. ______ (probably a widow, formerly married to a Ladd) on or about 10 Jun 1834 in Pike Co.The 1840 census shows a female Maria's age, and two females10 to 15, one of whom appears to have been the Maria Ladd, age 23, living in the home in 1850.
Looking in particular to learn from a descendant or from a public record what the middle initial "B" stood for (not a guess, but a record stating it).
Also trying to determine what, if any. relationship he had to the purchasers of the land in cumberland County, VA, who were (jointly) Martha A. Walker and Sarah B. Baughan.
