June 27, 1957 Golden Wedding Anniversary Sunday, June 30, 1957, Mr. and Mrs. ARNOLD ANDERSON of 417 4th NW of Ardmore will celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary. The anniversary will be highlighted in a reception held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. ARNOLD ANDERSON Jr. at 507 Northwest Ave. in Ardmore. Friends are urged to attend.
Mrs. Anderson was ADA PEARL CONE before her marriage June 27, 1907 at Bowie, Texas to ARNOLD ANDERSON of the same address. The wedding was held in the home of the bride with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LEE CONE, assisting in the ceremony. A reception was held in the home following the wedding. They were both well known and quite popular among the young people of that time. They were both diligent workers in the First Baptist Church. Mr. Anderson was a cotton buyer.
To their union were born four children, two boys and two girls: RUTH, now Mrs. JOHN STANARD who resides with her husband and daughter ROSALIND at Lawton; MARGUERITE, who resides with her husband FRED MARTH Jr. and son FRANS CHRISTIAN in Dallas; ARNOLD Jr., his wife TERESA and daughter FRANCES who reside in Ardmore, WOODROW W. ANDERSON and wife ALICE, daughter CAROLYN of Ardmore, and one son, Rev. WOODY ANDERSON, pastor of the Missionary Baptist Church in Kirk, Colorado.
Mrs. ANDERSON has two sisters, Mrs. ETHEL CUNNINGHAM of Oklahoma City and Mrs. MAUDE BLACKBURN of Healdton. Mr. Anderson has a sister, Mrs. MAY MCCRARY in Bellevue, Texas, a sister Mrs. MAUDE HOLLIDAY of Bowie, Texas, a sister Mrs. FANNIE WARNER of Dallas and sister Mrs. RUBY ANDREWS of Dallas.
Mr. and Mrs. ANDERSON moved to Ardmore in 1923 and have resided here since that time. Mrs. Anderson has been employed in Daube’s Store since 1923. Mr. Anderson is well known among the cotton buyers in Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Oklahoma, and is now retied.
