Adrian Daily Telegram, Saturday, January 19, 2008, pg A2 Venita Rose (Jones) Anderson Obit TOLEDO — Venita Anderson, age 90, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Jan, 16, 2008, at Swanton Health Care in Swanton, Ohio. She was born March 11, 1917, in Morenci, Mich., to Clark and Ola D.L. (Crowe) Jones. She married Gordon F. Anderson on June 26, 1937, in Morenci. He preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2007. Venita graduated from DeVilbis High School Class of 1934, and was a 60-year member of Pilgrim Church. She was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed knitting, painting, gardening and quilting. Venita was a happy person, always had a smile and dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Surviving Venita is one son, Richard Anderson and Linda Wernet of Whitehouse, Ohio; one daughter, Pam (Henry) Herschel of Toledo; two grandchildren, Meredith (David) Hustwick and Craig Herschel, both of Toledo; one great-granddaughter, Madeline Anderson Hustwick; and one sister, Mildred Ross of Toledo. Besides her husband, Gordon, Venita was preceded in death by a son, James in infancy; her parents, three sisters, Stella Jones, Hildegard Jones and Della Fidler; and one brother, Raynor Jones. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Chaplain Gordon Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service.
