Laura E. Fowler, 76, of Fergus Falls, died Monday, July 14, 2008, at Lake Region Hospital.
She was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Vang, N.D., to John and Evelyn (Richotte) Anderson. She attended school in rural Walhalla, N.D.
She did babysitting and housecleaning throughout her life. She has been a resident of Fergus Falls for the past 60 years and the Pioneer Retirement Community for the past five years.
Her faith in the Lord was a very important part of her life along with spending time with family and friends, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her hobby was greeting cards, making sure every holiday was covered. She enjoyed both writing to her pen pals and receiving mail. She also enjoyed walking, playing bingo and going out to eat with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Leslie and a sister, Ida Helvig.
She is survived by two daughters, Gloria (Rob) Kroshus of Vancouver, Wash., and Nancy Garner of Fergus Falls; two sons, Gary Fredrickson and Timothy (Margaret) Fredrickson, both of Fergus Falls; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Derek) Stansbury, Jessica, Zachary and Joshua Fredrickson, Ricki (Jessi) Garner, Tiffany Makonyonga and Mandie (Chad) Hulter; nine great-grandchildren, Theodore Jirik, Allyssa Garner, Cameron Elgin, Malachi Makonyonga, Lillian Priebnow, Samantha, Forest, Madalyn and Parker Hulter; siblings, Alma Goetzinger, Florence Lureen, Mavis Sherriff, Theresa Zach, Beverly Schunaman and Leonard Lureen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
