Hello!I can't believe it's been a year since I've posted anything to this forum!I've recently started to get back into genealogy, somewhat, by posting information on my website: http://home.adelphia.net/~sharonbkhttp://home.adelphia.net/~sharonbk While I've been concentrating on other family lines, today I just uploaded a gen report that starts with my earliest known Anderson ancestor, Samuel W. Anderson who was born approx. 1745 and lived in Amherst, Nelson, and/or Albemarle Counties in central VA.
I've been unable to connect this Samuel to any of the Anderson families in the area at the time, and this is NOT the Samuel who was the son of David and Elizabeth Mills Anderson--their son, Samuel, died well before this one did.
I've recorded my direct line (from Samuel to his son John, to his daughter Mary/Polly, and to her son, John William Anderson b. 1826) and I also have some info about peripheral lines (thanks to some of the info I got from gen forum folks a year ago!)
I've also included some pictures of my Anderson homeplace in Nelson County, Virginia as well as three songs (which, I'll admit, are better as songs than poetry!) that sort of explain why and how I became interested in genealogy.Anyone who's been involved in the sale of a "homeplace" should be able to relate...
Anyhow, I invite you to check out my webpage and once school is out (I'm an art teacher), I'll have more time to start researching and sharing information again! Please email me privately if you have questions, as I don't often have time to check the forum.
