Hi Kay, Did you ever hear of the Baugh name being DeBaugh at one time? Several years ago a lady had a Mattie Anderson that she thought was a daughter of Thomas J. and Elizabeth Anderson. She thought that Mattie's midddle name was Debow and could not find a family with that name in the vicinity that seemed to be Elizabeth's parents. She even hired a professional researcher. My ancestor was their son Dr. Richard Bolin Anderson born in 1852. He was one of the younger children and was only 6 when his father Thomas died in 1858 of a brain seizure(probably a stroke). They lived in the Northwest corner of LINCOLN COUNTY CLOSE TO GILES COUNTY AND WHEN THEIR OLDEST CHILD ALONZO D. ANDERSON ENLISTEDin the CSA army,he enlisted from Giles county.Elizabeth married James Pinkerton in 1861. He was a widower and neighbor. What were the names of Elizabeth's siblings? You mentioned the Bolin name appearing in your family. Do you know where it came from? Was your Elizabeth Baugh born in 1810 in VA.?Ours was.I hope we can make a connection. Thanks for your reply. This has been a dead-end for us for over 20 years.
