I have recently aquired a cook book that was originally printed in 1879 titled "Housekeeping in Old Virginia". This books contains "Contributions from two hundred and fifty of Virginia's noted housewives, distinguished for their skills in the culinary art and other branches of domestic economy"
Among the contributors to this books is a "Mrs. John T. Anderson of Virginia"
Again this book was originally printed in 1879 so Mrs. John T. Anderson would have been married so at least in her 20's but as the above suggested she may have been considerably older.
I am willing to share copies of these recipes with descendants that are interested. Please contact me for additional information
