apgar to apker

I am trying to find out at what point my name(apker) changed from apgar. All I know is that my father is Charles Arthur Apker 3rd his father is Charles Arthur Apker jr from nisbet, PA outside williamsport. My great grandfather was Charles Arthur Apker and his father may have been David Apker? Not sure though. Any help would be great.....
