I have some records on Major C. Aplin. He was son of Uriah C. and Mary (Shear) Aplinm and a sixth generation descendant of the line of John Aplin, the lawyer in Providence RI:Major C. (6); Uriah C. (5) born 1850; Edwaard A. (4) born 1794; Benjamin (3) otn 1769; zjohn z92) otn 1734; John (1) born 1710 in Taunton, England.
Major C. was born in March 1877 according to the 1900 census. On April 25, 1895 in Guernsey county, Ohio he married Olive S. Newbanks, born May 1880, dau. of Ward and Hester A. (_____) Newbanks.I have marriage record from county records.I habve record of 6 children, but a reference saying that he and Olive were divorced in 1912 and had had 9 children.I do not have dates of death of either Major or Olive as my research ended with the 1910 census.
I do not hae a record of his 2nd marriage or children, and would appreciate the details to add to my records even though it was beyond the scope of my research project.
I hope some at least of this information is helpful to you.I will be gglad to shaare more if you need it.
Thanks for the offer to share your research in Guernsey county,Ohio.I think I probably have those,as Idid extensive research in the LDS Library.
