Unfortunately I don't have the names ofPleasaant
aplin's children. As you know, the censuses before l950 did not record the names of members of the household, but just sex and age distribution.I have the l8l8 Illinois State census, the l820 federal census Illinois, Washington co., and the l830 Illinois, St. Clair co. census.Do you have those? If not, let me know and I will send them.
A research colleague, Virginia Lawrence, did an extensive and thorough research of early Illinois records but was never able to find where he came from or where and when he died.Did Pleasant himself move to Conway co. or just his children? This is the first clue I have had asto where he might have gone.
I have information on two John Aplins, father and son, born l740-l750 and l780-l790, in Conway co.I have the deed you quoted ascribed to the elder John, with the note that it is hard to be sure which John is indicated.
