What in the world?I have all that same information, and in contact with John Routson, and also live in Northern Michigan.My father's boss at Chain of Lakes Construction, years ago, was Bill Apfel Sr.Is he still around?

William Apple, Gephart, Henry Apple, and etc.
The book you might have heard of was "The Apple Gathering", by Tom Harp, of Sidney, Ohio.It has a lot of mistakes in it.I have been emailing several Apple families on the Internet, that have the websites, but have not heard from him yet.Numerous amounts of Apple's have married into my family.
