Additional info: 1850 US Census lists Augusta H. Appleby, 15 years old, daughter of Clarissa, 53 years old.
Another listing in the Old Lyme Vital Records from the Barbour Collection lists the following marriage:
APPLEBY, George m. Clarice B. Tucker, Jan. 26, 1815, by Nath[anie]ll Matson, J.P. (I'm assuming this is "justice of the peace].
Given the way names were transcribed, there's a good chance "Clarissa" and "Clarice B. Tucker" are one and the same; the ages would've been right; Clarissa was born in or around 1797; she would've been 18 years old when she married. I also have down her death date as 1862, although I don't know where I obtained that information.
