After futher research....I really don't have relations to the Applegate-clan.My greatgreatgreatgrandfather's (William Jackson Thomas) sister-in-law was Caroline Applegate (wife of James Harvey Thomas).Any kinship to me would be limited to descendants of James Harvey Thomas and Caroline Appegate.

At first when I read about the "child that had been picked up somewhere" (in the Applegate Forum), well, I thought it could have been my grandmother- but maybe that was Caroline after all- it's kinda hard to tell. Besides that...I was OFF a whole GENERATION anyway! My gosh....this stuff is hard to keep up with- and harder to keep straight!

I'm sorry about that! I am stuggling along trying to find information on my grandma's side....
