I have a Susannah Applegate married William Lake in 1775 in Hindringham, Norfolk.I can't find her birth but the IGI has Thomas Appleget and Anna baptising children in Hindringham in 1737 and 1741.

This could be a lead for you.If I find any connection I will let you know.
