Hi, Angelic. We now have documentation on Benjamin and Arzilla.
Department of the Interior, Des Moines Agency Certificate No. 1175613 (I think that is correct. It is hard to read on the copy) Bureau of Pensions Application for Bemjamin Applegate, dated January 16, 1898.This lists Benjamin's first wife as Lurana McIntire, married in Montgomery Co, Indiana, recorded in Sigourney, Keokuk Co, IA, first wife died February 1873.Second wife is listed as Elizabeth McGrew, married Sept. 28, 1873.Living children at the date of the application were Emma Applegate, born Sept. 27, 1855, Sarah Catheren Applegate, born March 22, 1862, Arzilla Applegate, born January 8, 1867, John William Applegate, born November 27, 1869, and one child, Clarissa by second wife, born August 31, 1874.He states that he is living with his second wife at the time.Ths is written in Benjamin's hand. This ties this Benjamin Applegate to his daughter Amanda Applegate Bennett, who died earlier, and to the relatives of S. Ray Reifscnheider, Cheryl Bennett Bowen, and Donna Applegate Davis.
Which sisters are in the picture with Arzilla?
Write back!
