>>>My great great great grandparents were Jacob and Sarah Applegate. They lived in the Lakehurst, NJ area. Their daughter Jennie Applegate married Samuel D. Cowan. Anyone have information on the Applegates? I don't know Sarah's maiden name.
According to Voress, the following data seems to match up quite well.It appears that Sarah's maiden name was Stratton.Jennie appears to be a nickname for daughter Sarah Jane, who had a second marriage to Samuel Cowan.
There is plenty of data in Voress on Sarah Jane's siblings and their children, but nothing more or Sarah Jane's children. If you have comparable information for the descendents of Sarah Jane (Jennie), I'd appreciate it if you can forward it to me.Eventually, we will update Voress' data which often peters out in the late 1800's to early 1900's.
