My Gt Gt Grandfather, Thomas Gooding Howard, married Sarah Appleton in Inworth, Essex, UK.Sarah, his first wife, I am decended from his second wife, appears to have been born around 1800 and to have died in 1850. Their children included: Mary Ann, Frances Jane, Thomas, Sophia, Charlotte Amelia, John William (I have dates for them which I can give you, but I'm doing this from memory). Thomas was the Master Wheelwright and Sub-Postmaster of Inworth. I have collected a number of maps and Business Directories which have enabled me to identify an old house with a yard, still in Inworth today, which I believe Thomas and Sarah occupied.
