It sounds as though your Applewhite line and mine both descended from John Applewhite and Elizabeth Woodard, though I did not have Elizabeth's last name - only the first. John and "Elizabeth" (Woodard, I'm assuming, now) are my 4th great-GPs. Their children were John,Elisha, Isaac, & Martha. Does that co-relate with your records? They were born, bred, and died in Wayne Co., NC. Their parents, according to my descendancy records, were John & Mary _____?, of Isle of Whyte - instead of Henry and Mary (Council)...that's the only discrepancy. However, there were so many of the same names among a lot of brothers and offspring, and my records outside of my direct line are not complete. I'm still working on those. Having said that, yes, I would appreciate any additional information you can provide, regarding the "Wayne Co." line. It will most probably allow me to complete some "dead ends" in my expanding tree. What's interesting, though, is that my 3rd great GF, also John, married "Penelope" Woodard, in NC. Records show that he died in Marion Co., MS. That would make him the first in my line to start migrating westward, from the NC area. There is no mention of where Penelope died, though I must assume it was in MS, as well, estimated at between 1751-1776. One of their sons, Thomas, my 2nd GGF, had 2 marriages, both of which originated in MS (he was born in NC). His 2nd wife Elizabeth Oglesby, my 2nd GGM, is buried alongside Thomas, in La Vernia,Texas, not too far from where I live. They produced a total of 10 children, in NC, MS, LA, and TX. His first wife, Rachel Mixon, seems to be shrouded in a cloud of mystery. Thomas sired 8 children by her, and I don't know all of their directions and progressions, yet. But, it would seem that the reply to your query would be as follows: Starting with Henry & Mary ___? in VA (his father, Henry, came from England)>>then Henry & Ann Marshall in VA>>John & Mary ___?, in NC>>John & Elizabeth __?, in NC>>John & Penelope Woodard, ending in MS>>Thomas & Elizabeth Oglesby, from NC to MS, to LA, to TX>>James & Fannie, TX>>Scott & Marie, TX>>Joseph & Allie Mae, my parents, TX>>me, TX. There are other descendancies from VA to TX, but, unfortunately, I don't have complete files on all of them, yet. I intend to, though, with a little help. I'm just giving you the quick descendancy of my specific line, from VA to TX. If you have any other detailed inquiries about other branches/lines in between, let me know - I'll take a look at what I have. I'm happy to share any data that I have. Maybe this will provide something that sounds familiar to you, and we can expand on it. It was nice hearing from you, and I look forward to exchanging additional information with you. Here's wishing you and your family a joyous and safe holiday season, Frank.
