Thank you ever so much for the message. I have not traced my direct ancestry back further than the John Applin I mentioned earlier but I have been sent a few details of earlier Applins from near Iwerne. None of them date back as far as the 17th century and I would be very interested to hear about Johan Applin's descendants.
