Re: if you have any information on Dora Arft
I have a book on Kenoma 1880-1983.
I personally lived just outside of Kenoma when I was young.I knew the Arft's and one of Louis Albert and dora Matilda Tucker's daugher, Lelamarried the Phern Albert Stout, son of my step-father-in-law, Roy Stout. Another daughter, Betty Lou, married Roy's son Harry.
Here is what it says about Louis Albert Arft:
Louis (Lou) Albert Arft was born March 29, 1871, to Mr. and Mrs. August Arft of Balwin, MO.He passed away May 7, 1949 after a long illness. He moved with his family to Kenoma at age 8, when his father established a general store.A brother, Herman, opened a cabinet and carpenter shop.Lou attended the rural schools.
On April 16, 1893 he married Ada Matthews.A son, Lee Herman was born May 7 1894.Ada passed away when lee was 8 months old.Lee passed away at the age of 32 years.
Lou married Dora Matilda Tucker on July 29,, 1906 at Mt. Carmel Church.Dora passed away August August 3, 1975.Four children were born of this marriage.Albert Louis, Mildred Forothy, Lela Rose and Lyle William. Lou was a master carpenter and bridge contractor for 40 years, also having a garage and Maxwell Ford agency. He was very active in community affairs, helping to establish the community church. He and Roy built the Kenoma school. He was postmaster from 1937 until ill health forced his retirement in 1940, when his wife became postmistress. He was a member of the Woodman of The Worldlodge.
His descendants include nine grandchildren:Betty Lou Arft Alexander, Mish Ann Stout Hull, Joleen Lynett Arft Barnes, Ada Evelyn Arft Faubion, Norma Jeanne Arft Miller, Ella Bess Arft Martin, Louis Williams Arft, Michael Allen Stout, Ronald William Arft, thirteen great-grandchildren:Symbra Annette House, Mandy Nichole Barnes, Amy Nichole Stout, Delila Mae Arft, Linda Arft McCulley, Charlene Miller Erickson, Wayne Allen Faubion, Greg Allen Faubion, Kip Conrad Sagehorn, Kort Hoffmann Sagehorn, George Michael ERickson, John Erickson.

There is a picture of them in it also taken Dec 15, 1938.
There is info on Albert Louis, Betty Lou, Lyle, Ronald, and many more. They were very prominent people in that little town and many of them.
