Catherine ARICK b. 1773 SC

I am looking for the parents, county and date of birth of Catherine ARICK.In 1889 her daughter, Sarah Ann JELKS REILY FREEMAN, wrote the folllowing about her mother:"My mother was born in South Carolina.Her name was Catherine Arick.Her father was killed in the old Revolutionary War and left her mother with two small children--herself and a little brother about two years old.Her mother was well off, had a fine place, plenty of money, and a large stock of cattle.She frequently rode around her farm and one evening was killed ...and thrown in a briar patch.... My mother and her brother were cheated out of everything.My father [Ruckins JELKS] and mother were married in 1791 and came to Louisiana with scarcely anything but soon made a good living and some property."Catherine died in East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana in 1854.Does anyone recognize this family?
