Marianne:

I have read all of your postings on the Arick site and have just finished reading your postings on the Ihrig site. I am interested in the two you wrote on the Ihrig site. One on May 21, 2000, you stated the FTM Colonial America 1607-1789 census showed a Michael Johann Ihrig, 1771 in Philadelphia. Your Michael you stated in your message of May, 2009 was born in 1794. So could my Michael be a brother of the first Leonard?

Also on the Ihrig site you wrote on July 27, 2001, that a Jacob came to the USA in 1771 on the ship Tyger, along with a Peter and a Michael. You mentioned where Peter moved to, but did not mention where Michael settled. I think maybe that Michael is the same Michael living in Philadelphia and that he might be my Michael. Could the original Leonard have had brothers, Michael, Peter and Jacob. That would make my grandmother's statement right. There was also a George living in close proximity to Michael in Northern Liberties, a section of Philadelphia, along the Delaware River. Perhaps another brother? I would very much like to hear your thoughts.

I thought I had covered all my spelling options, but had never considered Ihrig, until now.

I want to thank Roger Arick for making me take a second look at the postings.

Thanks, Pam
