I have a Georg Ihrig 1706 m. Anna Catharina Helm 1706 in my database and I think they are the parents of Leonard. My problem is I don't have proof. They were m. Apr. 28, 1729 in Unter-Sensbach, Starkenburg, Hessen, Germany. Leonard Jr. sailed from Beerfelden, Hessen, Germany.Leonard Sr. children were

Johann Michel 1730
Johann Georg 1731
Johann Adam 1732
Maria Eva 1734
Conrad 1736
Johann Peter 1737
Johann Georg 1739
Eva Catharina 1740
Anna Margaretha 1743
Johann Leonhard 1746
Johann Jacob 1748

I believe that the Michel, Jacob, Peter & Leonard were brothers or close relatives that came to the US in 1771 and 1773.Another proof was Jacob and Leonard were both fined for the Rev. War, both went to the same church and named their children after each other. And Leonard named some of his children Jacob, George, Anna Catherine, Leonard, Michael, Anna Maria, and Peter, along with Christian and Lenina who is questionable, because I haven't found the husband she was suppose to have married.Anna m. John Adam Moler and Lenina m. his brother Henry Moler, but I have found nothing on Lenina or Henry. This is why I think that Georg 1706 is Leonard's parents. Also when Leonard Jr. moved to Wayne Co. OH, he is on the 1830 census as Ihrig. When he died in 1868 in Wayne Co. OH. his tombstone reads Arick. The court papers for Leonard Sr. have his name as Errich, Erich and Erick. His indenture gives his name as John Leonard Erich. All of this is on my web siteArick-Senecal
