Hi Joyce,
In tracing my mother's side (ARKWRIGHT's) it has led me down to the London area. As I am having great difficulty in finding my great-grandfather any further back than 1891 census with his wife and 2 daughter's, 1 of which is my grandmother (there where further additons as time went on). He was married in 1888 to Anne Kemp, in Woolwich. From his marriage certificate it states he was in the C&T Corps as a Private. His name is Henry Edward Archibald ARKWRIGHT, and his father was Wilfrid ARKWRIGHT, gentleman. (but this is all I know about Wilfrid). As Henry was 25yrs. when hemarried, I estimate him to have been born around 1863, on 1891 census states where born, Bedforshire, Luton.I believe them all to have been in one of the forces as they don't appear on the other censuses earlier than 1891, and I cannot find Wilfrid anywhere. Can you please help? Regards, Jennie
