Re: ARKWRIGHT'S FROM LONDON ENGLAND

The family I am researching leads to Henry Edward Archibald Arkwright and from the marriage certificate(Woolwich 1888) I get his father as Wilfrid Arkwright but cannot find any link going back.

Looking in the Luton area where Archibald was supposed to have been born , I find a family of Arkwrights at Parndon Hall and another close by at Latton (similar in sound to Luton) vicarage,

But no direct links.

Archibald was a Private in the C & T corps which I guess would be linked to Woolwich Arsenal. He then was a bricklayer and later a clerk of works. So he is unlikely to have come from the landed gentry class at Parndon or Latton. Unless he was the black sheep of the family(s).
