Hi Beverly I haven't heard from you in a long time. I was curious where you got Grandma Best's name with the Amanda in it I have never heard that before. The name McFarland was her first married name, as we were always told. She had her oldest daughter Aunt Tillie or Matilda before she married Grandpa Best. A big question has come up for me to if she really was an Arnold? Early on there was much question that she was a Fleck, well the Flecks did travel to missouri and live in the same place as the Bests did when they left Ohio. And now I have found there is some connection with the Bantham Family. Benjamin Bantham was a gentleman that lived in Maryland, some of his family lived in the same area of Ohio as did the Bests, So I am really wondering what the connection might be that gave my Grandfather Benjamin Bantham Best his name. Would love to hear what you may have found since Last we talked.
