Franklin Waling Hall Arrendale's mother was Elizabeth W. Price. His father was Franklin Lafayette Arrendale (born 1845 in Lumpkin County, Georgia and I have his death date as 1917 but don't have the place/state listed).
Franklin Lafayette's parents were Rice Arrendale (b. Jun 1820 Rabun Co., GA and d. bet. 1900 and 1910 Lumpkin Co., GA) and Sarah McElroy (b. 1824 and d. bet. 1880 and 1900 Lumpkin Co., GA). Rice's parents were Thomas Arendell (b. 1790 SC and d. 03 Mar 1869 Rabun Co., GA) and Margaret "Peggy" Lefever (b. 1805 SC and d. 1845).
Franklin (b. 15 May 1883 GA) had 1 brother: William P. Arrendale (b. Jan 1876 GA) and 2 sisters:Francis Carr Arrendale (b. Dec 1878 GA) that I'm sure about and Sallie M.(b. Dec 1880 GA) that I'm not 100% sure about.I found this information on Franklin's name in the 1917-1918 WWI Draft Registration Cards.
Locating these families in the Census took a lot of work as the names were spelled/translated as: Arendale, Irondale, Arrendale, Crasendale, Arsendale and Arnodli.
In 1900 I located Frank L. living with his daughter and son-in-law, Francis and C. A. Walker in Parker County, Texas. His wife and 2 sons were living in Butler County, Missouri. By 1920, Erath Co., Texas, Elizabeth (Lizzie) was a widow living with Frank, his wife Cora and children. 1930 Erath Co., Texas, Lizzie was also living with Frank, Cora and children with their daughter also listed as being a widow (Bertha Moss).
I'm researching this family for a great granddaughter of Rice and Sarah Arrendale and have quite alot of information I'm willing to share. I have found no connection to my immediate family but there are branches that connect once in a while. I'm sure you have information that would fill in blanks in the research I'm doing if you're willing to share info. If I can help you further, please let me know.
