Arwood's in GA
My g-Grandmother Louise Tedder was married to E. Laval Arwood and lived in Cobb or Cherokee Co., GA. Some Arwoods are listed on the 1860 census there but none by similar name. Arwood's father supposedly had a large plantation with slaves and it was burned in the war and Louisa stayed in the slave cabins with her 2 sons Theodore (1861) and James (1862) until she could get to her brother's home.
I have not found a CSA record for Laval either. I do know that Louisa re-married to Luke Medford in 1869 and moved with her 2 sons and the Medford family to Texas in 1872.
Was Laval just a story she told? I know the boys existed.
A Tolliver T. Arawood is on the Woodstock, Cherokee Co., GA 1860 census with son Theodore age 1. Tolliver is born in NC 1835)
I have worked on this off and on for over 20 years and not been able to find him, please help if you can.
