Marge,. I haven't my -papers near me so this is only guessing, BUT, Capt. Thomas (d. 1752) had a son, Thomas the younger (after the death of Capt. Thomas he may not have continued with being "the younger"...After reading the will of Capt. Thomas in which he left the younger Thomas a couple of shilling and NO OTHER PART OF HIS ESTATE, I have since believed the father did not approve of the son and DLA confirmed the notion...without telling me exactly why it was so.Without understanding anything about DNA someone told me the tests proved the Capt. and Robert of Stafford had an ancestor in common somewhere in their past generations. I'm convinced, however, that the tests need to be those of the 25 generations. I'll see whether I am able to persuade my nephew to do it all over again......but is no one else does the same, would it do any good? What do you think?GAJ
