I apologize for the double message but I found a mistake in my previous post.Somehow I jumped to a different Ashman family!
William Ashman (b. 1819) was NOT the son of Richand Ashman and Ann Churchill!
Rather, his parents were William Ashman (b. 1786, Somerset, d. Jan 1838, Kilmersdon) and Ann (b. bet. 1786 and 1791, Somerset, d. aft 1851).Ann is a widow in the censuses on 1841 and 1851 when she is living in Dunkerton, Somerset with her children. Their children were: Richard, b. 1813, baptised Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Somerset James, b. 1815, baptised Stratton Sarah, b. 1817, baptised Stratton William, b. 1819, baptised Stratton Jacob, b. 1822, baptised Stratton, d. young John, b. 1824, baptised Kilmersdon Jacob, b. 1826, baptised Kilmersdon Mary Ann, b. 1826, baptised Kilmersdon Mercy, b. 1828, baptised Kilmersdon
