astorino in europe
Hello to all of you, my name is like yours 'astorino', I have been told by one of my teacher when I was you that 'astorino' comes from 'aster', meaning 'little star' in english.
I live in Bruxelles belgium for 9 years now but before I was in france where I am born.
I have the chance to know most of my family (dozen of uncles and cousins)which is still in south Italy near crotone/catanzaro.
The city is called Petilia policastro. If you go there do not hesitate to ask for 'astorino', this name is wellknown there.
For those interested in genealogy my grand mother was 'astorino genoeffa, and she had 11 children. My father was the second one of this huge family, they are all from petilia policastro and messoraca and still there.
Regards and good luck.
