Ted and all; Just for the rest of the history lesson, The crossing was made at "MCKonkey's Ferry,8 miles above Trenton to be exact,on Christmas night 1776,They attacked 1500 Hesians at daybreak on the morning of the 26th,taking 1000 men prisoners.(most of them were drunk) and lost only 4 men of their own. Aten's Ferry is abt 64 miles up river from McKonkey's Ferry. Any added info on our anscestor Derick Aten during that time we want to hear it. Mame PS,I am far from an expert, and I do believe both those fellows are still researching.
